Time Was | Lucrezia Di Canio

Time Was brought together seven artists who all explored time in their practices. By responding to a word stimulus (such as: When, How, Who, What, Why, Then and If) all artists explored time in a different way as part of this exhibition.

The word I chose to explore was “Then”. As it is a word which can be used in reference to an event that happened in the past I decided to set up a live performance of my circle drawings. I explore the circle as a shape associated with the concept of eternity. By showing the process of drawing in a live performance, I tried to give the circle a clear beginning and end, therefore adding a defined element of time to a very total, continuous shape.
